Trinity Hall Bed and Breakfast

Situated in Fordham, a bustling village 4 miles Northeast of Newmarket on the Cambridgeshire / Suffolk Border, Trinity Hall Bed and Breakfast is a large Victorian House which is part of a working farm.

About

We pride ourselves in offering superior Bed & Breakfast in tastefully decorated surroundings. We use only locally produced food, with our own free-range eggs, home-made jams and marmalade’s. In winter breakfast is served in the dining room, often with a blazing log fire. In summer it can be taken in the sunroom.

We are perfectly situated for the racecourses in Newmarket, the historic town of Ely, and of course Cambridge. The village boasts a charming country restaurant, a very highly rated Chinese restaurant and a pub providing good Indian cuisine. All within a very short drive, or within walking distance for the energetic.

We understand that most of our guests are visiting Cambridgeshire or Suffolk for a purpose. Those wanting to experience the cosmopolitan buzz of Cambridge, or stroll the medieval street of Ely, or enjoy a day at the Newmarket racecourses, hopefully there will also be some time to just sit and relax for a while. A bed and breakfast experience should be personal, with attention to detail, to ensure you have quality time.

For those who can take some time out we offer the full use of a comfortable sitting / reading room, the use of the sunroom, and the garden at any time.

Enjoy a glass of wine in a shady spot in the woodland garden with woodpeckers and songbirds or stroll through the farm to one of Cambridgeshire’s unique nature reserves. If you are lucky, you may spot the water buffalo grazing the wetland area.

Please make sure you book early for Newmarket Race days, Newmarket Nights, and Duxford Airshow weekends.

  • Authenticity at it's best. Trinity hall, is the GEM, if you want 5*Service along with a real friendly/warming welcome . Into what is the ultimate 'Home from home. We were bought this as a gift from my Daughter after she and her partner had stayed there the previous year. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the company of the owners. They were so friendly and, helpful in the information they gave us regarding getting around and sight seeing in an area that was very new to us. We would highly recommend a break in Trinity hall. The family has lived in this house for 3 generations although they have kept it as Authentic as possible to this day whilst also maintaining all the modern required conveniences. We will be back.

  • What a perfect guest house!!! I was treated like royalty! I needed a place to relax after busy days with my grand children. This was more than I could have hoped for. Sue and her daughter Hanna were very friendly and helpful. The location is very quiet. I had peaceful, undisturbed nights.

It's a belated review because it was a couple of months ago we stayed, but Trinity Hall was without doubt one of the best bed and breakfasts we have ever stayed at, and we've stayed at quite a few over the years. Sue and Hannah made us feel so welcome. The room was fantastic, as was the breakfast. The location was wonderfully quiet, on the edge of the village, yet Cambridge was easily accessible. It was simply the perfect b&b. While I'm on, a quick shout out for The White Pheasant pub/restaurant which is within walking distance. The combination of the two made this a delightful stay. We will most certainly be back. Next time we're visiting Cambridge, or the area, we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. Thanks Sue for making our stay such a treat.

  • Myself and my partner stayed here inbetween Christmas and new year. We upgraded to the larger room, which exceeded expectations. The entire house was beautiful, our room was shabby chic, clean and had extra amenities which we weren't expecting including a fridge and a hairdryer. The breakfast was outstanding on both days and Sue and her daughter were very attentive, friendly and went out of their way to please us. We had a lovely weekend away and will definitely be returning! Thankyou again ! Darren and Lottie

WOW. From the moment we parked up to the moment we left, our stay was wonderful. Sue could not do enough and made us feel immediately welcome. The bedroom was fit for a king and queen. All the breakfast items were locally sourced and were very tasty. There was no bad point to our stay and will be back in warmer weather.

  • We stayed at Trinity Hall for two nights. We have nothing but very high praise. Upon arrival we were met by Sue who warmly welcomed us and showed us to our beautiful suite. The suite was stunning, immaculately clean and very welcoming. The efforts that Sue and Hannah have gone to, to make everything COVID safe were very impressive and we felt very safe. The breakfast was served in a beautiful room and was absolutely delicious with plenty of choice too. Thank you both so much, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return I. December. Xxx

Such a magnificent couple of days - could have easily spent a week enjoying the hard work and effort of all at Trinity Hall. Our room which we upgraded was magnificent and the attention to detail was superb. Clean and bright with everything you could imagine. Hosts were so helpful and accommodating and breakfast was tasty and plentiful - always with the offer of more if desired but never needed. I hope to stay again the next time I'm visiting the area.

We had a Buy A Gift voucher that we planned on using in Europe but so glad we didn't! This B&B was beautiful, the owners were welcoming but not intrusive. The accommodation was top notch and the breakfast was one of the best we've had, cooked freshly to order. If you are looking for a laid back get away, you won't get better value than this little gem xXx

  • star rating  We stumbled across Trinity Hall through Red Letter Day and decided to book as we didn't want too far to travel. We were expecting a clean and comfortable B and... read more B but we got so much more!

Sue couldn't have been more welcoming and showed us to our upgraded room (lucky for us they'd had a cancellation) - the room was huge and so beautifully decorated. The bed was lovely and comfortable with high quality bedding. The bathroom was incredible! I have serious bathroom envy!! They'd thought of everything - hairdryer, ironing board, fridge, toiletries etc and had recommendations for places to eat and drink.

Breakfast was so good - freshly made to order and Sue and Hannah couldn't do enough for us. The service was incredible. They'd catered for our gluten-free dietary requirements and also had a wide selection of cereals and fresh fruit and yoghurt.

I would highly recommend booking a stay at Trinity Hall for a relaxing home from home break. We'll definitely be back! More
